Year Favorites

So I was reading another photographer's blog and she was talking about posting favorite 5-10 photos from the year. Hopefully I can do that sometime this week with the photos I took! So stay tuned.

Thanks for a wonderful year

I just wanted to say thank you to all my clients, family and friends for a wonderful year. God has blessed me in so many ways it is hard to comprehend all the blessings he has bestowed up me and my family. Many people have been asking me about doing pictures this winter. I do not have a studio but I have done photos in homes and outdoors. Many times children are more relaxed and comfortable in their own homes and what a great way to remember them. Lighting can be tricky this time of year, especially since December is so dreary. I am up for a challenge though! These are some I did recently for a Christmas card by their tree. I hope and pray you have had a blessed year and have another wonderful year to come. jbj

Bride

So the question has been asked, "do you do weddings?". No I don't. I don't want to be responsible for a live event. Would I do behind the scene photos at a wedding, along with another photographer, most likely :) but I don't want to be the main photographer. I did take a few at my sister-in-laws wedding this past weekend. This was one of my favorites. Being a bridesmaid in the wedding was such a privilege, I felt so honored to be a part of her special day. It was hard to give up my camera completely so I did get some. I love the way the light is coming through her veil in this one. She is so beautiful.

Engagement

So I was on vacation this past week. My sister in law got married. We traveled to Iowa for the wedding it was beautiful. More about that later. One of my other sisters-in-law (I have a total of 3 :) recently got engaged and I had the opportunity to do some engagement photos for them while we were down there. It was my photography fix for the week :) thanks for letting me do that. Here are a couple of my favorites. I have a lot of photos to go through.

Senior

I had a great time photographing this upcoming high school senior. Some of these poses are not as traditional but I like the artistic feel of them. A little traditional, a little art. :) With as beautiful as she is wasn't hard to get great shots. Thanks for letting me take these ;-) And yes I am still looking to photograph more high school seniors but I don't know any! That makes me feel old...
:-0 excuse the watermarks automatic placement is not my favorite.

Birthday Girl

I did a little "mini-session" with my niece tonight for her 5 yr picture. I can't believe she is going to be 5 already! I love black and white and I was tempted to post just the black and white ones up but other people prefer color. You may wonder too if I do anything to get eyes to light up like that, the answer is no I don't add "catch lights" to the eyes. It is all about shooting it. In fact I do as little editing as I can! I LOVE her eyes in the 3rd and 4th photo. She is always great about letting me take her photos, I call her my little model. Happy Birthday girl. Love you.

Cute doggie

At Wednesday's session they asked if they could bring along the dog. I said of course! Look how cute she is! She is a little daisy dog that was just adorable.

More sisters

Some more from tonight. I always have favorites from every session. Sometimes too many! Having a sister myself my favorite is the third one. Sisters are such a gift from God.

Sisters

These two little girls were so cute tonight I couldn't help but make a storyboard of them. You could tell how much they loved each other. What a blessing. They were a lot of fun to photograph! I am not usually into props in photography but I do have 2 pink pettiskirts and a couple of hats that these girls just fell in love with, and they look adorable on them. :) Hopefully their mom likes these photos.

The 2 photos on the outside are the "vintage" color I can add that to any photo for an additional $1

Picture frames

I am pleased to announce that I am now offering Georgia Street Frames (click here to check them out) they are beautifully hand crafted frames with a distressed look. Each one is unique and beautiful and they only sell to photographers. There are choices of 10 colors and 4 styles, frames do not come with glass but when photos are mounted and sprayed it is just as effective and allows the picture to breath and without the glare of glass (and without risk of breaking the glass in shipping :) ). As a special introduction I am offering 3 different sizes at great prices

1. a 8 x 10 Savannah frame (4 inch) in your choice of color and your choice of
8 x 10 photo, mounted, and sprayed with UV coating for $75
2. a 11 x 14 photo mounted and sprayed and 4 inch Savannah frame for $105
3. a 16 x 20 photo mounted sprayed and your choice of ANY 1 of the 4 styles of 3-4 inch frames (Savannah, Atlanta, Augusta or Marietta ) frame $240

These do include hardware that I need to get put on after I receive the frame, if you would like to add the hardware yourself you can take $6 off the price.

This offer is like getting the picture, mounting, and coating free! Other frames styles may be purchased at an additional cost. This would make a great Christmas gift. Orders must be placed by November 1 as the frames take 4-6 weeks, this offer is only valid until then. This is only valid on new picture orders as the photos have to be mounted and sprayed when ordered, you can choose one from your previous session though. Sorry no discounts or percentages off apply to this offer and no returns.

One final Christmas card....

Here is one of my favorite Christmas cards from my website.

Christmas Cards

Here are the remaining Christmas cards. Keep in mind there are more on my website too.

Wednesday, August 6, 2008

10 x 10

I do not know what is with me and storyboards! This is a 10 x 10 pricing would be $22 for this particular design, unmounted. With mounting, sprayed $30. This would be a great addition to a baby's room and because of its size if you choose to not frame it would still fit in 12 x 12 photo album. I can customize the colors for girls too and change the wording.

Story board

This is an 11 x 14 size storyboard. If you notice the colors of the photos on either ends that is called "vintage" adds a little fun I think :) If I made one of these for a client it would be $45 with mounting. It is more than a regular 11 x 14 because of the design work involved in it. The 'B" is just to tell me what style it is :) it just happened to be in the wrong order...

Story Board

This is something new that I want to start offering to clients. Let me know what you think of it! Colors and fonts can be customized. I also need to figure out pricing. It is 10 x 20 in. in size.

High school Seniors

I would really like to photograph more high school seniors. I think it is a blast! I am so wanting to do this I am willing to offer seniors 2 locations for our photo shoots and an extended session for no extra fee. As an added bonus, for those that mention this blog I will do sheets of wallets for $8 when you order at least 10 sheets (8 wallets per sheet) that is a $40 savings valid only through September 2008. So please pass this along to some seniors! This is for high school seniors only.

Favorites..

So I am catching up on this whole blogging thing. I thought I would post some of my favorite images. i always have to remember with every session that I do, that my favorites aren't necessarily everyone else's favorites but I am glad when they are :) Here are a few.. I have so many...

Blogging...

So a photographer friend of mine suggested to blog... since she always has good suggestions I thought I would give it a try so here it is.. not sure who is going to read it, but for those of you who know me, I am never short on words! Photography truly is my passion, next to God and my family. I love capturing the moment, I look forward to every session I do. I love being part of peoples' lives.. even if just for a moment..

Here is one of those moments. I love this photo, the wonder of a baby sister.

Just one...

These little guys mom said all I need is "just one" good picture of each of them... hopefully we got a few more than that :) but these are my favorites of each of the them. The oldest little guy did not want his picture taken. At least I got "just one"... :) With as cute as they are it was hard not too.
